MiCA CASP Authorisation
MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) fully replaced the fragmented national VASP registration models with a single Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorisation. A CASP licensed in one EU country can passport its services across all 27 member states.
Licensing process
Authorisation is granted by a national competent authority and notified to ESMA. Passporting then allows cross-border operation throughout the EU.
Requirements
